Benjamin Tressler is a NYC-based real estate professional with over 20 years of experience organizing and executing complex residential, commercial, and special-purpose real estate business plans. For 11 years, Benjamin led development of Steiner Studios' Brooklyn Navy Yard film and television campus, overseeing numerous ground-up, adaptive reuse, and infrastructure projects, yielding 20 soundstages and more than 600,000 SF of production space.

 

During his tenure at Steiner, Benjamin developed strong working relationships with the New York City and State economic development agencies and negotiated several long-term ground leases of City property. Prior to leaving Steiner to form his own firm, Benjamin led Steiner's successful response to NYCEDC's Made in New York RFP, securing Steiner's development rights for a satellite campus in Sunset Park, Brooklyn comprising 8 soundstages and over 500,000 SF of production space.

Benjamin has also led many successful residential projects including ground up family shelters, boutique condo conversions, and rental projects such as the Hub, a 54-story, 750-unit, luxury rental hi-rise in Downtown Brooklyn. Benjamin is passionate about green buildings and has implemented numerous sustainable building strategies including LEED, Enterprise Green Communities, and the installation of large-scale rooftop solar arrays. Benjamin is a graduate of Connecticut College and holds a MSRE from NYU's Schack Institute of Real Estate. Ben is a passionate YIMBY and engages in pro-housing activism in his spare time.
